Spy Hop Productions

Spy Hop Productions works in partnership with the Salt Lake County Boys & Girls Group Home and Salt Lake Early Intervention to serve teenagers on the continuum of prevention, intervention, and treatment. The High-Risk Youth Media Labs Program provides mentoring and hands-on instruction in the digital arts to young people who are socially and politically considered at-risk, high-risk, or underserved. During the 2012-2013 school year, the program enrolled 264 students who created a total of 36 digital media projects in a team setting with a positive adult role model serving as both a mentor and a teacher. Through Spy Hop Media Labs, youth are able to discover new approaches to learning that may not be available to them in the traditional classroom environment, which advance overall academic achievement and school success.
